With a favourable weather forecast now showing it is hoped that The Linnets will finally get beck into action on Tuesday evening as they visit the Phillips 66 Community Stadium, home of Leamington, in the National League North (7:45pm).
Lynn have endured a wretched last month that saw them play only two games and suffer five postponements , four of which were due to the wet weather that has been a feature of the winter that officially finished at midnight on Saturday. The odd game out was the trip to the Brakes , who in early February , were involved in the FA Trophy, meaning the original scheduled date had to be postponed.
The hosts have had a mixed season to date and currently sit in 16th spot in the National North table having secured 9 wins from their 30 games played , 6 of which have been on home soil. The meeting at the Walks of the two teams in mid November resulted in a 5 - 2 Linnets win with goals from Sonny Carey , Jordan Richards, Michael Gash and an Adam Marriott brace doing the damage on a cool Tuesday evening.
Town will assess Simon Power ahead of the game after he missed the trip to Chester two weeks ago. Ryan Fryatt is getting closer to a return with Michael Clunan still expected to be missing for a while.
The game begins a busy week for The Linnets with a long trip to Gateshead on Saturday before a return to home action on Tuesday March 10th when Bradford PA the visitors.
