The Linnets return to The Walks on Saturday with a National League North encounter with Kidderminster Harriers (3pm) as the final third of the season begins. It's an important month ahead for Town with two rearranged fixtures thrown into the mix in what is traditionally a busy time anyway.
Whilst Lynn were in the North East collecting three points from Blyth Spartans, Harriers were 30 miles up the road, suffering a 2 - 0 defeat at the hands of Boston United. It hasn't been the happiest of seasons for the Aggborough based side who find themselves at the wrong end of the table following some pre- season predictions that they could be one of the teams to watch in the promotion waste. The main problem appears to be a lack of goals scored but, on the other hand , they do not concede many either so the Linnets may need to be patient on Saturday afternoon. There was, however, goals in the meeting between the two teams in early November as goals from Chris Henderson, Rory McAuley, Adam Marriott and Ryan Jarvis gave the visitors a win by a 4 - 2 margin. The Linnets will again be without Michael Clunan and Ryan Fryatt, who are still absent with long term injuries and Ross Barrows (shoulder). Recent signing Dayle Southwell will be in the squad as he looks for a home debut.
Supporters are reminded that the level crossing gates on Tennyson Road are closed all weekend for rail engineering works and are advised to allow extra time for their journey to the ground if travelling from the Gaywood side of Town. Entry to Tennyson Road from the Southgates roundabout will be unaffected by these works.
A bucket collection will be taken on Saturday around the ground for injured defender Ryan Fryatt who , recently , has undergone expensive surgery on his knee which he has had to pay for and has also missed time from his full time job .
