The Linnets take to The Walks turf for the first time this decade on Saturday as high flying Spennymoor Town visit for a Vanarama National North encounter ( 3pm ). Following a hectic holiday period Lynn find themselves four points ahead, having played a game less, of closest rivals York City after collecting seven points from their three holiday games.
Spennymoor will again provide tough opposition for Lynn who collected a point from their trip North in September in the first meeting of the clubs. A solid season sees Spennymoor sitting in fifth position in the league table and boasting a good away record as well.
Ian Culverhouse will be without Ryan Jarvis who serves a one match suspension following his red card in the home Boston United win. Sam Kelly was withdrawn early at Boston on Wednesday and is also expected to miss out. Central defenders Ryan Fryatt and Chris Smith edge closer to a return following injury. Harry Limb is expected to be named in the match day squad.
The Reserves, playing their first game of the New Year, will hope to build on last weekend's 3 - 2 win over Wisbech St Mary when they travel to the same opposition for a quickfire league return (3pm).
Lynn Ladies return to ERWFL action on Sunday with a trip to Gorleston.
