In a quickfire return, King’s Lynn Town travel to Boston United’s York Street ground on New Year’s Day for their first fixture of a new decade (3pm).
Lynn will be hoping to continue their recent good form that has seen them maintain their position at the top of the Vanarama National League North table.
However, if last Thursday’s Walks encounter is anything to go by the Linnets will have a tough assignment on Wednesday.
Boston United impressed many with their organisation and determined manner that saw them hold out for almost 70 minutes at The Walks, despite an early sending-off, before falling to a Michael Gash goal inside the last 10 minutes of the game.
Both sides were back in action on Saturday with The Linnets claiming a hard earned point at Alfreton Town with Gash and Adam Marriott both on target for the visitors.
Meanwhile Boston secured a 2-1 home win over Kettering Town.
Ian Culverhouse will again assess his players on Wednesday but will again be likely to use the nucleus of the squad used over the previous two games.
Defenders Ryan Fryatt and Chris Smith remain absent from the squad due to injury.
Linnets supporters attending the game on Wednesday will be housed in the York Street stand and will enter the stadium via turnstiles 3, 3A and 4.
