King’s Lynn Town continue on their road to Wembley on Saturday as they visit Northern Premier League side Nantwich Town in the Emirates FA Cup fourth qualifying round ( 3pm). A win would see the Linnets progress to the first round proper of the national competition and into the draw, which will take place on Monday evening on BBC television , where they could face the likes of Blackpool, Sunderland or Ipswich Town as the EFL division 1 and 2 clubs enter the competition for the first time.
Before any thoughts of that though Town must overcome a trip to Cheshire against a side riding high at step 3 in the pyramid. Despite many hours of work this week it appears that Lynn’s search for defensive reinforcements have, for now, drawn a blank meaning that Ross Barrows may well deployed into a central defensive position in place of Chris Smith and Ryan Fryatt who both miss out. Ryan Jarvis missed last weekend’s 2 – 2 draw with Chester and a decision on his availability will be made as late as possible.
The winner of Saturday’s tie will receive £18,750 in prize money.
If tomorrows gave ends all square the replay will take place at The Walks on Tuesday 22nd October (7:45pm).
Lynn Reserves are on the road with a visit to Debenham LC in the Thurlow Nunn League, Division one North (3pm)
Finally on Sunday Lynn Ladies are also on the road with a trip to East Bergholt for a league fixture ( 2pm).
