The Linnets hit the FA Cup trail for the first time this season on Saturday with a tough looking trip to National League North rivals Alfreton Town (3pm).
The hosts are unbeaten at North Street to date this season having scored an impressive 13 goals in five games and conceding only three in the process.
Lynn though will take great heart from the hard-earned 3-2 victory over Saturday’s opponents achieved at The Walks in early September thanks to goals from Michael Clunan, Alfie Payne and Adam Marriott.
The Linnets will have to make do without Rory McAuley who serves the second match of his three-game ban for the red card received ironically against Alfreton.
It is understood that striker Harry Limb is still unavailable for selection following illness.
The winners of Saturday’s tie will collect £6,750 in prize money. If the fixture is drawn the replay will take place at The Walks on Tuesday, September 24, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
Entrance to the stadium for Linnets' supporters attending the match is on Alma Street.
The reserves have a Norfolk derby at the weekend when they visit the North Norfolk coast to play Sheringham Town in Thurlow Nunn, Division One North.
Lynn Ladies are in women’s FA Cup action on Sunday with an away tie at Harlow Town. This fixture has a 2pm start time.
