King's Lynn Town announce new smoking policy

August 1, 2019

The Linnets have announced a new smoking policy that will come into place at The Walks on Tuesday, August 6, the evening of the opening home fixture with Kettering Town in the Vanarama National League North.
The main stand seated area has been a non-smoking part of the stadium for a number of seasons.
As from Tuesday that area will be extended to cover all of the terrace below the seats, the area at either end of the main stand including the entrances to the Blue & Gold Sports Bar and the cafe and turnstiles and all of the covered area of terrace on the opposite side of the stadium.
The open terrace at both the Tennyson Road and Hospital End will be areas where smokers can still enjoy a cigarette.
Club media officer Mark Hearle said: "It’s something that has been discussed for a while now and it’s been decided to bring it in for the start of the new season.
"We will be erecting signs to remind people and be making various announcements to the crowd via the PA.
"Our stewards will be briefed and instructed to implement the new ruling in a firm but friendly and sensible way."
