Linnets hit five goals for second successive friendly

July 17, 2019

The Linnets continued their pre-season preparations on Tuesday evening with a 5-1 victory over Bury Town.
Town used a total of 23 players over the 90 minutes, including the returning Alex Street.
Lynn raced into a four-goal interval lead thanks to a 36-minute treble from Adam Marriott and a Toby Hilliard strike.
The visitors made a host of changes at the break but were still comfortable throughout. Cruise Nyadza pulled a goal back for Bury but it was the Linnets who had the final say following a Natty Stewart header.
Lynn continue their National League North preparations on Saturday when they visit Needham Market (3pm).
