King's Lynn Town 1 Alvechurch 0
King's Lynn Town boosted their play-off hopes at the expense of Alvechurch by narrowly winning a game packed with high quality on Tuesday night.
The visitors came out came out all guns blazing at The Walks and could have been two goals up inside the opening ten minutes before the Linnets began to grow into the contest.
Lynn dominated the second period and put Church to the sword for long periods of the half.
The only surprise was that there was only one goal on the night, which arrived 20 minutes into the second half.
It came after Linnets skipper Michael Clunan intercepted a poor free-kick and set Marriott off in acres of space down the right.
Lynn’s leading scorer unselfishly threaded the ball through to Henderson, who finished into the top corner for his tenth goal of the campaign
