Linnets travel to Kettering

November 5, 2018

The Linnets travel to Kettering Town on Tuesday evening in the Southern League City Security Services Cup.
Lynn have several injury concerns ahead of the game and boss Ian Culverhouse is expected to use a mixed squad of players at the league leaders.
"We have a few concerns with some of the lads," admitted Culverhouse.
"I will not be rushing thing’s and will just assess what I have available to me on the day.
"At the moment the squad is a small one and I have to protect some of them with Saturday’s game coming up.
"Whatever team we put out we know we are in for a tough evening over there. I wouldn’t be surprised if they also make a few changes as they have an FA Trophy game at the weekend.
"It’s always competitive between the two teams and I see no reason to think it will be any different Tuesday."
The Poppies have only two defeats in all competitions this season to date and have led the Southern League, Central Division table for most of the season.
At the weekend they continued their excellent form with a 3-0 win at Needham Market whilst Lynn were also winning by the same margin at Alvechurch.
A change to the fixture schedule sees St Ives Town visiting The Walks on Saturday, replacing Royston Town who are still involved in the FA Trophy.
The home fixture with Royston and the away trip to Hitchin Town have still to be rearranged.
A date for the Norfolk Senior Cup tie with UEA is expected to be confirmed in the next few days.
