Any honeymoon period for the new first team management duo of Neil Fryatt and Rob Back will quickly be forgotten as King’s Lynn Town welcome fourth placed Banbury United to The Walks on Saturday (3pm).
The pair have already overseen three Linnets fixtures to date, securing two FA Cup victories and a valuable away point collected at Halesowen Town a fortnight ago.
The need for Town to begin moving back up the Southern Premier Central division table is not lost on joint boss Back.
Back said: "The fact is that we are sitting in 19th place in the table at the moment and we must start collecting points quickly to move ourselves up to where we feel we should be.
"There are still an awful lot of points to play for so we will have to see where we go from here.
"Banbury have enjoyed a very good start to their season and obviously are a very good team but I also have to say that I feel that we are also a very good team complimented by some very good players.
"Neil and myself will be approaching and preparing for the game just like we have all of the others we have taken charge of to date. It’s all about ourselves and what we do, not the opposition."
Town have no major injury doubts ahead of Saturday with Michael Gash pressing for a start after returning to the squad last weekend following a lay off due to a dead leg.
Lynn Reserves have a away local derby in Thurlow Nunn Division One North tonight with a trip to Fakenham Town.
The game at Clipbush Park kicks-off at 7.45pm.
