Linnets survive cup scare to earn a replay

 King's Lynn Town 2 Histon 2
King's Lynn Town survived an almighty cup scare as a late goal from Frazer Blake-Tracy earned the club a Tuesday night replay at the Glassword Stadium.
The Linnets were twice forced to come from behind against the Stutes and at times it was difficult to tell which side operated at a higher level.
Lynn dominated long periods of the first half.
Ryan Fryatt headed over at the far post, Craig Parker failed to convert a Blake-Tracy centre, Toby Hilliard fired into the arms of Sam Roach and Nathen Stewart struck the post with a curling effort.
But it was Histon who took the lead against the run of play in the 19th minute after Dan Brown smashed home a flick-on from Danny Gould.
Nathen Stewart levelled the scores from close-range eight minutes later but the Cambridgeshire outfit took the lead for a second time when Lance Key punished the hosts for ball watching at a corner.
Lynn showed little attacking intent after the interval and it wasn't until the final ten minutes that Simon Clark's side showed the necessary urgency required to get themselves back into the tie.
Despite another mediocre performance, the team showed great character to earn themselves a second bite of the cherry when Blake-Tracy sidefooted home with three minutes left on the clock.
