King's Lynn Town have completed a double transfer swoop ahead of this afternoon's opening Southern Central Premier game against Biggleswade at The Walks.
Arriving at the club are striker Valter Rocha on a one-year deal and defender Aaron Jones who will put pen-to-paper on a two-year contract.
Jones spent 10 years with Ipswich Town's development academy before moving to the United States to play college soccer at Georgia State University.
The 24-year-old recently had a spell playing in the Slovakian League.
Portuguese frontman Rocha, 26, arrives from Thetford Town after spending a few years plying his trade in Portugal’s Division Two.
Manager Simon Clark said: "Aaron has been fantastic for us in pre-season and is just the type of character we want at the club.
"He's the fittest player we've got at the club and has a great versatility about him.
"Aaron will give us competition down the side's and is also a very adept number four."
On Rocha, who was a firm favourite for Thetford at Mundford Road, Clark said: "Valter is going to be a massive crowd-pleaser here.
"He's different to what we've got and is very unpredictable. He's strong, robust and possesses a great left-foot."
Deals for both of Lynn's new arrivals were concluded late last night.
Both players will link-up with the Linnets squad today but may not feature due to international clearance issues.
The club can also confirm that they are in continued negotiations with defender Matty Castellan who has signed Southern League forms at The Walks.
"I've been delighted with Matty over the summer and are looking forward to having him on board," said Clark.
Fellow defender Dion Frary has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent and has joined Dereham Town for a nominal fee.
The club thank Frary for his time while at the club and wish him well for his future with the Magpies.
