Linnets claim first silverware of the season

July 23, 2018

The Linnets lifted their first silverware of the season by claiming the King’s Lynn Town Challenge Cup.
Lynn defeated an excellent Rangers Under-23s outfit 1-0 at a sun-drenched Walks to complete a gruelling 24 hours for manager Simon Clark's side.
The only goal of the game came ten minutes in when Ryan Fryatt smashed a half-volley into the roof of the net after Michael Clunan’s corner had been headed back into the mix by Michael Gash.
In the earlier game on Sunday, Legia Warsaw defeated a youthful Norwich City team to seal third place in the four-team tournament.
