Manager disappointed by departure of Cameron King

June 26, 2018

King's Lynn Town Football Club can confirm the departure of midfielder Cameron King to FC Halifax.
After lengthy negotiations over the course of the summer, the club were pretty confident of retaining King's services on a long-term contract.
The first we were made aware of Halifax's interest was when manager Simon Clark received a call from King's agent yesterday afternoon.
Clark says he is disappointed, but not devastated, by King's exit and while players are at The Walks he expects a certain level of commitment from them.
The manager is now pursing other midfield targets ahead of the forthcoming season and news of any new arrivals will be brought to you in due course.
In view of King's departure to FC Halifax, the club are now seeking compensation having offered the player an improved deal in the close season.
King's Lynn Football Club thank King for his time and effort during his time with the club and wish him well with his new venture.
