King’s Lynn Town return to home comforts this weekend when seventh placed Redditch United visit The Walks for a Southern Premier Division fixture (3pm).
The Linnets have been on the road for the last few games and manager Ian Culverhouse is looking forward to a home Saturday.
“I must admit it will be nice getting back on home soil’ said Culverhouse, speaking to www.kltown.co.uk .
“We have put a few miles on the clock in the past few weeks so being back at home will be good for everyone involved. We have continued to pick up the points on the road and now we must look at continuing our good home form.
“We battled away hard on Tuesday evening (2-2 at Biggleswade Town) especially when we went down to 10 men.
I was disappointed at the goals we conceded and giving goals away is something we have to stop because you are then creating your own problems and putting yourself under greater pressure. Redditch are an established Southern division side who are always around the top reaches of the league table and we know what to expect from them on Saturday.
“They have picked up some good points and pushed other teams in games where they have lost out but we will be ready for them. Obviously I will be looking for a positive outcome so we have another block to build on ahead of our next three games which are all away from home.
In last season’s Walks encounter Town ran out 2 – 1 winners with goals from Shaun McWilliams and Matt Castellan.
The home fixture with Hereford has been arranged for Tuesday 30th January 2018. The game will have a 7:45 kick off.
Town reserves have a Norfolk derby at Diss Town in the Thurlow Nunn Division 1 league.
