Weekend preview

November 10, 2017

With no first team game this weekend Robbie Back’s top of the table reserves take centre stage when fourth place Whitton United visit The Walks (3pm).

Lynn’s second string moved to sit proudly top of the Thurlow Nunn division one table with a midweek 3-1 win over March Town United – much to the delight of Back ‘It was really pleasing for everyone connected with the club’ admitted the manager. ‘

“We have played some good stuff this season and have added some very keen young lads who want to do well, impress and hopefully progress in the future to be involved with the first team.

“We have a lovely atmosphere and feeling about the place at the moment and it would be nice to have a few more through the gate on Saturday with their being no first team fixture, The boys love the support and I know that both myself and the lads really appreciate it greatly’.

An entertaining afternoon looks to be on the cards with Whitton having won five of their seven away games, scoring 31 goals in the process. Back is expected to have a full strength squad to select from.
