Midweek preview

October 17, 2017

The Linnets hit the road this evening with a visit to Dunstable Town for a Southern Premier Division fixture (7:45 KO)

With league leaders Kettering Town in FA Cup replay action Ian Culverhouse’s men will go top with a victory at struggling Town. The host’s currently sit 23rd in the division having managed just one victory ( a 1–0 success over Farnborough) from their 12 games played.

The Linnets however will be taking nothing for granted and only a few weeks ago went down at Royston Town on a wet and windy evening.

Early team news suggests that Leon Mettam will again miss out due to his hamstring injury but Grant Holt will return to the squad following his one match suspension which he served on Saturday.

It is expected that Toby Hilliard will be available for selection with his suspension following Saturday’s red card not due to begin until this weekend’s trip to Gosport.

Meanwhile the reserves begin their defence of the Division 1 KOC when they visit March Town United ( 7:45 KO).
