The Linnets tackle possibly their toughest league date of the season so far on Saturday when they travel to Weymouth for their latest Southern Premier Division fixture.
The "Terra’s" are amongst the favourites for a promotion spot this season and currently lie 10th in the league.
They have suffered 2 home league defeats and have this week moved to strengthen their front line by adding the services of experienced striker Matt Tubbs to their ranks. Tubbs was involved in their League Cup win over Wimborne Town, notching a brace. Last season Town collected a hard fought point from a Tuesday night visit to the south coast but will quickly want to forget a 6-1 hammering they received on home soil in January.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s long trip Boss Ian Culverhouse told www.kltown.co.uk
"For sure it’s going to be a big challenge for us. I have had some good reports on them and yes, they are a strong side who can play a bit of football. From our point of view we have to control them and try to impose our style of play on them.
"Playing the League Cup fixture at the weekend gave us a free week where we have used the extra training time to try things and prepare ourselves properly for the game. October is a busy month with the games coming thick and fast.
It’s a month where nothing will be won of course but it’s a month where we have a good opportunity to collect some points and to continue on with the generally good work we have put in up to now’.
The Reserves have a home League fixture with Woodbridge Town. Both of Saturday’s fixtures have the usual 3pm KO.
