Linnets record back to back wins

September 27, 2017

King's Lynn Town 3-0 Biggleswade Town

Biggleswade came to The Walks to frustrate and anger Lynn, But a dominant second half showing saw the Linnets come out on top.

Liam Gooch done everything in the visitors goal to keep the home side at bay in the opening exchanges making saves to deny Ryan Hawkins, and turning behind Michael Clunans effort from distance.

It was a rare second half of dominance that saw Lynn pick up all the points.

Craig Parker stabbed home amongst a goal mouth scramble inside "The Waders" penalty area after Ryan Fryatt who was making his 250th Linnets appearance had sent a header goal-wards.

1 soon became 2 just six minutes later, A foul led to a free kick 25 yards away from goal, Ryan Hawkins then proceeded to smash the resulting free kick into the top corner of the net giving Gooch no chance.

Lynn sealed all the points in second half stoppage time, A lovely passing move ended with Ryan Jarvis slotting past Gooch.

Man of the match Ryan Hawkins spoke to the local press after the game and had this to say.

"Good to get another 3 points, The boys were excellent all over the pitch from start to finish, It just shows when we press hard and get the back four up we can eventually break teams down and score goals.

"My injury last season has held me back a little, The injury was bad and I was lacking a little bit of confidence, I probably wasn't the fittest at the start of the year, But I'm finding my feet now I've just got to keep my head down and in training and working hard during the games so that we can keep ticking off the points every week.
