Linnets look to continue winning ways

September 26, 2017

The Linnets are back in action again on Tuesday evening when Biggleswade Town visit in what will be Town’s first home midweek fixture of the season (7:45 KO).

Lynn returned to winning ways at the weekend when goals from Craig Parker and Ryan Hawkins saw off morning league leaders Tiverton Town to return the Linnets back into the top three of the Southern Premier Division.

A win on Tuesday evening could see Lynn return to the top of the table if other results go in their favour however the visitors will be in no mood to surrender the league points easily and have started their season in good form, currently sitting in eighth place.

On Saturday however they lost by a 1-0 margin at Redditch in a match where apparently, they were unlucky to lose. Last season 'The Waders’ completed a league double over the Linnets, something Ian Culverhouse’s men will be desperately keen to avoid this time round.
