The Linnets are back on the FA Cup trail tomorrow when they visit Conference North side Nuneaton Town in the second qualifying round of this year’s competition.

Lynn suffered their first defeat of the campaign on Tuesday at Royston Town and will need to be at their best to beat a team who play their trade at level two, one above the Linnets.

However Nuneaton have not had the best of starts to their season and currently sit fifth bottom of the early Conference North table and haven’t won in their last five games.

Town have no new injury concerns ahead of the trip and it’s expected that Harry Whayman will return to the squad.

Manager Ian Culverhouse had this to say after Tuesday nights game ahead of the game.

"We've got nothing to lose at Nuneaton, We're not expected to win but we need to play better than we did tonight and hopefully we can grind out a result, It's about us I don't care who we play as long as we perform, I've had them watched the last couple of games so I know their strengths and weaknesses, Hopefully we can get back to winning ways.

If the match ends in a draw the replay will take place at The Walks next Tuesday evening, the 19th September, with a 7:45 kick off.

The Winners of tomorrow’s tie will receive £4,500 in prize money.

The Reserves have a rearranged home fixture on Saturday with Norwich United Reserves (3PM KO).
