Linnets end pre-season with victory

August 5, 2017

Lowestoft Town 0-1 King’s Lynn Town

The Linnets ended their pre-season campaign with a hard-earned victory against Lowestoft.

A well worked team goal in the second half that was neatly finished by Craig Parker was enough to seal the victory for the visitors.

Ian Culverhouse handed a debut to new striker Michael Gash, He proved a real handful for the Lowestoft defence with some good hold up play and some good flicks and tricks during his 60 minutes on field.

Lynn also handed a start to former Norwich City youth defender Cameron Norman who didn’t look out-of-place in the Linnets side at right back.

The game was then marred by two red cards as referee Mr Sannerude took centre stage, Home player Shaun Bammant was sent off for kicking out at Ryan Fryatt on the floor, As Fryatt was getting back to his feet he was then to sent off for an alleged elbow on Bammant as he ushered the ball out of play behind the goal.

Lynn: Street, Norman, Blake-Tracy, Fryatt, Ward, Jarvis, Clunan, Parker, Mettam, Gash and Hawkins.

Subs ALL USED. Whayman, Hilliard, Siddons, Warburton and Frary
